According to the Chinese tradition: soothes tsieu yin and removes Qi stagnation, relieves flatulence and alleviates pain.

Indications are stagnation of tsieu yin Qi manifested as feeling of fullness and distension in the chest and hypochondriac regions, epigastric pain and distress, belching and acid regurgitation. Also helps to alleviate the menopausal syndrome.
