High curcumin content
Using a turmeric extract with a very high curcumin content (95%) has a significantly greater effect than unprocessed turmeric (curcumin 2-9%). Almost no health-promoting properties can be attributed to supplements containing unprocessed turmeric. The dosage of curcumin (2-9%) is simply too low for that. However, when using a high-quality curcumin extract (95%) in a high daily dose (650 mg), numerous effects can be attributed to the herb.
Quantity of types of curcuminoids
Vitakruid has chosen an unparalleled curcumin complex of no less than three types of curcuminoids in Curcuma C3-2X! While the oils containing mono- and sesquiterpenes certainly have an effect, in turmeric it is mainly the curcuminoids that provide the health-promoting effects. Many dietary supplements unfortunately contain only curcumin I. The extract used by Vitakruid for its Curcuma C3-2X is standardised on the main curcuminoids: curcumin, bisdemethoxy curcumin and demethoxy curcumin. The perfect blend according to current science!
Bioperine®
Bioperine® (95-98% piperine) is an extract obtained from the black pepper fruit. The extract of piperine, called Bioperine®, has been clinically tested in the United States, making it an extremely pure, safe and effective extract. In addition, the presence of Bioperine® significantly improves the bioavailability of the curcumin C3 complex. As a result, the curcuminoids are absorbed as much as 20 times better! Moreover, the combination between the curcumin C3 complex and Bioperine® ensures 276x(!) better bioavailability than a product containing only a standardised 95% curcumin extract.
- Curcumin C3 complex®, Bioperine®, hypromellose (capsule), DiCalcium phosphate (filler), silicon dioxide (filler), magnesium stearate (anti-caking agent).
